About Vancouver Elite MMA

Founded in 2010 by owner and head coach, Austin Springer, Vancouver Elite MMA has become the premiere martial arts academy in Clark County! Vancouver Elite features incredible coaches who love to share their passion with new members!

Our goal has always been to create a culture based on members feeling welcome, receiving quality technical instructions, feeling encouraged, and being empowered!

We offer fully instructed classes for Kickboxing, Gi (uniform) and No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, MMA, and we have a wonderful Lil' Ninjas (4-7yrs) and Ninjas (8-12yrs) program! Each class offers its unique qualities, and we encourage you to try them for yourselves. To help fit everyone's schedules we offer classes in the mornings and evenings.

Our experienced coaching staff want to help you meet your goals, everyone's are different, and that's great! Some members wish to climb the ranks in Jiu Jitsu, others want to step into the cage and compete, maybe you want to shed a few pounds, but everyone wants to workout with a fun group of people and feel encouraged!

Most of our classes come with the "Get fit, without getting hit" motto. There's no need to spar, you can learn the fundamentals and far more with minimal contact. Our coaches will help you push further than you expected and have you leaving class feeling better than when you started.

We offer multiple classes throughout the day, and in the evenings we offer Kickboxing/Boxing and Jiu Jitsu at the same time. We have two seperate rooms to accomodate more classes and more opportunities for members. In addition, each member also receives a free fitness membership to Fortitude Fitness. That membership includes the use of the basketball courts, free weights, machine weights, cardio equipment, crossfit equipment (when classes are not in session), saunas, cold plunges, locker rooms, and showers.

Austin Springer, Fighter and Owner of Vancouver Elite

Austin Springer

Austin Springer has spent nearly two decades in combat sports, first as a competitor and now as a coach who has walked every step of that path himself. His coaching résumé stretches from tumbling classes for three-year-olds to leading professional athletes into title fights, and his own record backs it up: four amateur championships, five professional championships, and pro fights in boxing, kickboxing, Bellator MMA, and the UFC, including a run on The Ultimate Fighter. That kind of experience isn’t something a coach can fake or fast-track.

On the mats, Austin holds his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Fabiano Scherner and still competes in Jiu-Jitsu today. Outside the gym, he works full-time as a Firefighter for Clark-Cowlitz Fire and Rescue and owns NorthWest Championship, Vancouver’s premier fight promotion. Students training under Austin aren’t just learning technique from someone who has read about the sport. They’re learning from someone who has lived it at every level.

Beyond his own results, Dima has coached two individual athletes to World Muay Thai Championship titles, proof that his approach translates into results for his students.

Now retired from competition, Dima works full-time as a Vancouver Firefighter and EMT. In his spare time, he stays close to the sport through coaching and training, and also enjoys target shooting and crafting hand-made knives.
